Naturally Katherine Connors was upset about that comparison and had a challenge of her own for Miguel Batista. Batista said his words were taken out of context and he has apologized and asked his attorney to send flowers to Katherine Connors. He says that he meant to convey the idea that if the "person you listen to is Miss Iowa, and you go 'Oh, here you go'. When you take a look at the woman, you go 'Hold on: She is from Iowa, but she is gorgeous.'" He said it was because people started booing him before he had even thrown a pitch just because he was not Stephen Strasburg. It would be the same if you went to see Miss Universe and you saw Miss Iowa but you would want to let everyone know that Miss Iowa is beautiful and deserves a chance, even if she is not Miss Universe.

Karen Cunagin Sypher can possibly be charged for lying to the FBI

Karen Cunagin Sypher has been charged with extortion after she threatened University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino to divulge their affair if he didn’t succumb to her demands.Karen Cunagin Sypher was asking for cash, cars and even a house just to remain silent about the sexual encounter. On the other hand she claims Pitino sexually assaulted her. Investigators strongly believe those claims lacked merit, and she can possibly be charged for lying to the FBI.

Jack Tatum, an All-Pro safety died Tuesday

Jack Tatum, an All-Pro safety for the Oakland Raiders in the 1970s and one of the most feared hitters in NFL history, died Tuesday. He was 61. Tatum, who was nicknamed "The Assassin," suffered a heart attack in an Oakland hospital, said John Hicks, his friend and former Ohio State teammate. Hicks said Tatum had diabetes the last several years and also lost his left leg because of circulation problems.
